Data plan activation
Activation methods vary by operator and destination. Typically, the data plan activates right after you complete your purchase, but there are exceptions.
Possible options:
- Data plan validity starts right after you complete your purchase
- Data plan validity starts immediately when eSIM is installed
- Data plan validity starts upon first connection to a compatible network
- Delayed data plan activation (up to 365 days)

Delayed (postponed) activation
If you do not want to use your plan immediately, select the Postponed option in the [Plan activation section] during checkout. You will then have up to 365 days before your plan becomes active automatically. Please notice, that this option varies by network operator and may not be available for some plans.

You can activate your postponed plan at any time from within the Yesim app. Once your plan is activated, you will need to install the eSIM on your device. We recommend that you activate and install your eSIM a day or two before you travel to your destination.
